Dr. Janis Pardue Hill is a retired professor in the College of Education and Human Sciences at Louisiana Tech University where she trained educators and researched student-centered learning and literacy strategies. Prior to that, she was a classroom teacher in the Ouachita Parish School System in Louisiana.
With a PhD in Curriculum & Instruction, she specialized in classroom methods and literacy and at the same time researched storytelling and social-emotional learning frameworks for students.
Her academic and teaching background ensures BUG isn’t just a charming story—it’s a developmentally aligned, research-informed tool that parents and teachers can trust.
